Southeast Texas Young Republicans exists to provide 18-40 year old conservatives a welcoming home where they can become active, educated, and mobilized in Republican Party issues, affairs, and campaigns throughout Southeast Texas. Specifically, SETX YR seeks to:

·         To advance the growth of the Republican Party in Southeast Texas by assisting in the election of Republican nominees to public office.

·         To discover and equip young Republican leaders to help build the future of the party.

·         To encourage awareness and active participation in the political process at all levels of government by members of SETX YR and the community.

·         To support, promote and hold accountable the philosophies and ideals of the Republican Party of Texas and the Texas Young Republican Federation.

·         To actively participate in building a stronger community by assisting in causes where neighbors can best help neighbors.

While we take politics and service to our communities, commonwealth and country very seriously, the Southeast Texas Young Republicans are just as much a social club as we are a political organization. We feel that an important component to any successful organization and especially a political organization is that that organization be as social as it is political. The social aspects of our organization allow for networking with other young professionals in the community to help foster professional relationships as well as political and social relationships.

Most club meetings normally last about an hour and people linger afterward having drinks and socializing. Some members look forward to the monthly meeting as a chance to get out of the house and others look forward to the opportunity to see and make new friends.
