Southeast Texas Young Republicans

The Southeast Texas Young Republicans are an organization of 18-40 year old citizens committed to active participation, education, and leadership in political affairs. We serve Jefferson, Hardin, and Orange counties in addition to serving young Republicans enrolled in the university systems of Southeast Texas.

Our mission is driven by three fundamental elements:

Philosophy

We believe that government should be limited in its power but effective in what power it does rightfully exercise. We believe in the inherent rights of individuals to life, liberty, and property. Young Republicans offer a distinctive generational experience that can provide accountability and leadership inside the Republican Party and the community as a whole. We believe that individuals, when provided with sufficient and accurate information are capable of making the right choices for a better society.

Philanthropy

The Southeast Texas Young Republicans recognize and acknowledge the economic challenges many face in the United States. We believe that the most effective and empathetic way to address these concerns is by neighbors helping neighbors and by educating people to understand the access we all have to better lifestyles even in challenging circumstances. As a result, we strive to involve ourselves by working in the community to help each other and our fellow man.

Pro-Activity

The American experience provides a unique experience for ordinary citizens to participate in creating political change. The Southeast Texas Young Republicans works to educate its members on issues of importance, recruit candidates, and work to elect those candidates who support the concept of limited, effective government. Grassroots efforts are the essence of true political movement in the United States and we work to involve our members in this effort.

The Southeast Texas Young Republicans meet at 7:00 P.M. on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Jefferson County Republican Party Headquarters at 2825 IH-10 in the Time Warner Cable building in Beaumont.
